Hey guys....sorry for not posting for a long time. I've decided that I'm probably not gonna post anymore because, *sigh* , I've lost almost all interest in tvb. The reason I started this blog was to post anything that was related to tvb and hong kong entertainment. As you can see on the right, I have a ton of tvb affliates. But the thing is I haven't posted anything tvb related in ages and I guess its just that I've started to move away from all tvb news and anything tvb related. Right now I'm all about Britney and her comeback, as well as anything Hollywood. I'm gonna start a new blog dedicated only to Britney Spears soon, and I guess I'll see you guys in a while. Ta-ta for now!

Britney's New Animated Video

Britney's new video for "Break the Ice" was just released a week ago & when I saw it I was bored to tears...where was the Britney that danced and entertained since the very start in her videos? Britney did not appear in this video at all and so we only get to see an animated video that depicts Britney as a super heroine battling some bad guys. I really hope she gets it together and film the REAL music video for "Break the Ice"...the song is great by the way and it shouldn't be wasted by a crappy video. Sorry guys I've been away for a while and I haven't had the chance to update my site. I went on a vacation with my family to the Caribbean in February and OMG it was loads of fun....here is a picture of what our cruise ship looked like.

We went swimming, rock climbing, skating....ahh there was a lot of stuff to do. I didn't even wanna come back home after the cruising experience. If I had the chance to go again, I'd definitely will.

Besides that, I just wanna say my prayers to Lydia Shum who passed away a few weeks ago. She was everyone's "Happy Fruit" and brought fun and laughter where ever she went. I hope her daughter Yun-Yee stays strong through this tough time. I support her 100%...Go Yun-Yee!

Gillian Chung & Edison Chan involved in Pornographic Scandal

A pornographic image featuring Twins’ member, Gillian Chung, has been found on the internet, which has left the Hong Kong entertainment industry shocked. Many female celebrities have fallen victim to netizens who digitally alter their photos, leaving them feeling helpless. This recent blow to Hong Kong’s entertainment industry, has also involved Edison Chen, who has announced through a lawyer that he will be taking legal actions against this evil practical joke.

Yesterday, Gillian’s company’ EEG informed the police of the crime and then publicly announced that people have illegally altered images of Gillian to create and release pornographic images of Gillian. The company also stated that a lawyer has been employed to handle this issue and as soon as the distributor and uploader are identified, legal action will take place. Celebrities have all stood up against these evil actions, with Gillian’s rumoured boyfriend, Juno Mak calling the offender inhumane and an animal. Meanwhile, Gillian’s other rumoured boyfriend, Alex Fong, refused to comment.

Juno commented, “I believe that the image was made by a computer. I have not seen it and I do not plan to see it. (Will you comfort Gillian?) After what happened, she will be unhappy. But the Gillian I know is very strong; she does not need me to comfort her.”

When hearing of the news, Stephy Tang was shocked. She expressed, “With the technological advances, female celebrities have fallen prey to those who use our images to create porn. Even though, I am I not the victim of this incident, I still feel uncomfortable. I feel sorry for Gillian.” Stephy then stated that she will never take intimate photos.

Meanwhile Ella believes that no female celebrity will ever want this to happen to them. She commented, “If you like a particular female celebrity, you can go to functions and take photos to keep as memory. Such atrocious things should not be done. Performers and fans should respect each other. Do not do things that hurt female artists.”

My Thoughts:

Wow, I can't believe such a thing has happened. The pictures are reportedly taken back in 2005 and has recently leaked onto the internet by an unknown source.

Ummm....well.....I HAVE seen the pics and I must say they are beyond disturbing. I thought it would be somewhat mild but the pictures are soo graphic. I doubt it is photo shopped or edited because it doesn't look like a fake photo.

I would blame Edison or whoever took the photos because obviously they are very intimate. Whoever took the pic should have hidden it or delete it. Some people tell me that Edison took it and he showed it to his friends....and from there it sorta got leaked. Edison won't admit he has anything to do with it but he can be seen in the photos. EEG is taking legal action and they're calling the police and FBI. The issue is getting really big in HK right now...sigh....I just hope Gillian is OK. Don't forgot something similar happened last year when she was caught changing. *sighs again* Hope shes alright.

Man, I totally forgot about Bernice's B-day and I feel very ashamed of myself lol...anyways her b-day was a little over a week ago (Jan.6) and she just turned 29! She does not look a day over 25 though....her bright and playful personality makes her look a whole lot younger, not to mention those great curves. I wonder what she wished for on her birthday...perhaps a wedding from Moses Chan? Haha that'd be awesome...*sigh*

2007 is Coming to an End!

Wow, time flies by so quickly...it's already the end of December and Christmas is just around the corner. With all the homework and stress from school, it doesn't really SEEM like Christmas yet...I don't know but I'm not in the "Christmas Spirit" yet.

Well, 2007 in general, was a good year for me I guess. But, the TVB series that were produced this year weren't as up to par as the 2005/06 series IMO. There were only a few series that really stood out this year: Phoenix Rising, Steps, and Heart of Greed. Those shows caught my attention and were witty & intriguing. Other shows, however, were not as original as the series from the past and, imo, were a complete waste of time. *cough Devil's Disciples cough*. Some of the rather poor series of 2007 I'd like to point out are : Life Art (2 words: BORING & UNORIGINAL), Change of Destiny (again, very boring), Devil's Disciples (obviously the worst series of the year), Heavenly In-Laws (lame plot, OK acting) etc.

1. Phoenix Rising

Cast: Louisa So, Krystal Tin, Sunny Chan. Leila Tong, Jack Wu, Ben Wong, Nancy Wu, etc.

This series deserves my pick for #1 series of the year because:

The plot was fresh and exciting and the cast did a fantastic job with their performances, especially Louisa So. Man, her character was evil inside and out and you see could the vain in her eyes...one of the most memorable TVB roles ever imo. The story mainly revolves around 3 sisters and their lives in and out of prison. This series is quite tragic and the ending is just breathtaking. Don't wanna give too much out, but remember to give this series a try even thought the cast isn't THE best. The first episode will leave you hooked for sure.

2. Steps

Cast: Bernice Liu, Steven Ma, Fala Chen, Wayne Lai, Kate Tsui, Matthew Ko, etc.

This series was also quite fresh and it was something new because we haven't seen a TVB Series mainly focused on dancing. The choreography in here, I must say, was very well done and the characters delivered their dancing moves well. Bernice and Steven were soo fun to watch and they had great chemistry. I can't believe I'm saying this but even Fala Chen did an exceptional job as the "villian". Highly recommended to everyone....and if you are a Bernice or Steven fan you MUST watch this series. Really, you do.

3. Heart of Greed

Yes, I know I know. Many of you are probably gonna disagree with me that I haven't put HOG as #1, but instead #3. The story was quite gripping and intense and there were many memorable moments in the show, not to mention great acting, but the beginning of the show was wayy too ZZZZZZZZ. I was watching this with my family and even parents nearly fell asleep. There were also some parts that were a bit dorky and over-dramatic, and the end part where Susanna Kwan suddenly turned "nice" wasn't really that reasonable. That is why HOG deserves a #3 ranking for me. Besides that, Linda Chung's role was definitely a breakthrough for her. All the cast did a great job, but it was the plot that annoyed me most.

"IN OTHER NEWS...."

As you all may know I am a big music fan - I listen to music like all DA TIME - so I have a top 10 Best Albums of 07. Mind you, this is the English Music, not the Chinese. I used to be the biggest Canto-Pop fan ever, but the diversity of English (or American) music can't be compared to Canto-pop....and Canto-pop got boring cuz it was the same old piano ballad songs. lolz, anyway, here are my top 10 albums:

TVB Anniversary Awards 2007 Results!

The TVB Anniversary Awards was held yesterday and of course there were the obvious winners and some surprising winners as well. The HOG basically stole the show as the won in the main categories, including Best TV Series. I'm still trying to accept the fact that some of my favs didn't win...arggghh

The show was alright overall and the fashion choices this year are a lot more improved than last year. The men wore all black this year and I don't think it's the best choice cuz it looks like they're attending a funeral or something. Perhaps more color would have been a better choice.
One thing I want to point out is Bosco's fashion sense. Not that I have anything against him, but checkered pants and a black coat do not go together. It looks too casual for this type of event...

The women's dresses were of course more varied and colorful...my favorite dress is probably Gigi Lai's or Tavia's. I was pretty surprised that Bernice chose to wore black this year...the golden thingy's on her dress are unnecessary at all. I like her hair though...

The winners were pretty obvious this year: Moses won Best Actor and My Fav. Actor Award, as predicted by many, while Lee Si Kei won Best Actress. The My Fav. Actress Award would of course be reserved for Susanna Kwan, even though I really wanted Myolie to win.

The categories I'm extremely upset about are the Most Improved Awards...I mean COME ON Kate Tsui for Most Improved? Over Bernice? I don't see that ever happening and I wasn't ready for it happen until I saw the winner's list yesterday. I think a lot of Bernice fans, myself included, are still pretty angry because Bernice was obviously robbed this year...*sigh* I guess all of us need to move on and accept the reality that TVB will probably never award Bernice with this award.

I was also shocked when I heard that Amigo Chui won the Most Improved Award....ok seriously he hasn't even acted in a single TVB series so how can they judge as to whether he improved or not? I've seen him hosting many TVB shows but it's always the same...not much improvement from him I guess. Is it because he and Kate are one of Stephen Chan's "pets"...which is why they won? I don't know, but all I know is that this year's Most Improved Categories were soo rigged...I'm starting to think that it's not how good you act or how talented you are, but whether if you are heavily favored by TVB and its executives and bosses.

Another surprising winner was Fala Chen. I thought that she MIGHT win Most Improved because of how fast she's being promoted by TVB but her winning Best Supporting Actress seems so disrespectful to all the veterens nominated in this category. If TVB really wanted to give this award to Fala so badly, why now make another category like "Most Heavily Favored TVB Artist"...*shakes head* of course it's not really Fala's fault that she won, but still, other actresses nominated in this area like Florence Kwok was more deserving than her.

I think that's all I really need to say about the TVB Anniversary awards this year. The other categories I guess were pretty deserving. I do have a slight problem with Patrick Tang and Harlem Yu winning Best Host. I don't think I've seen them host for anything else besides that cooking show and believe me they do not posses the charisma other hosts have...for example Dodo Cheng, Lydia Shum, and Eric Tsang. They don't have the BEST talking skills and no they're show isn't even all that funny either. Another rigged category...*sigh*

Hey ya'll sorry for updating in like 2 months....I've been extremely busy with school work and such....so I haven't really had the time to catch up on all the TVB stuff. I've been watching a ton of reality shows and listening to the new Britney Spears CD (it rocks, everyone should get it!)...but, I do know the TVB Anniversary is just around the corner so imma give my 2 cents on it:

Best Actor:
Moses Chan

Moses has garnered a lot more fame and praise after his role in HOG and I can tell he has improved soo much since he won Most Improved Actor in 2002. Everyone is rooting for him so the award will most likely go to him.

Best Actress:
Sheren Tang

Sheren deserved this award like 3 years ago but year after year she doesn't win...I really want her to get this award this time even though the heavy favorites are Lee Si Kei and Susanna Kwan. IMO those 2 should get lifetime achievement award or something...give the best actress award to Sheren!

Best Supporting Actor:
Benz Hui

Man I loved his acting in Dicey Business as a "gay"dude...everytime he acts in a tvb series he just gives so much life to the character he portrays. He never fails to impress the audience with his acting, that's for sure.

Best Supporting Actress:
Florence Kwok/Leila Tong

I really want Florence to win because I loved her sophisticated character in Forensic Heroes(although that was last year)...but Leila Tong deserves some recognition too for acting with TVB since she was very young. I guess it's a toss up between these two...

My Favorite Male Character:
Bobby Au Yeung

Whether it's a funny & comical role or a serious & strict role, Bobby always gives strong performances and every time lits up the screen with his wonderful charisma. He is also nominated for an International Emmy award for his portrayal in Dicey Business....go Bobby! Hope he wins overseas and represent TVB well!

My Favorite Female Character:
Myolie Wu

She was a strong contender last year in the Best Female Award cateogry but lost out to Charmaine Sheh. Charmaine was even able to snatch the Favorite Female Character award... I felt really sorry for Myolie cuz she should have gotten at least one award for her gained weight in TGWL. Oh well, I hope TVB can at least give her an award this year...

Most Improved Actor:
Chris Lai

Wow I think he's been in like 4 series this year...anyhow I really like his character in HOG and he has shown a lot of improvements in his acting. Out of all the other contenders in this category, Chris deserves this award more IMO...

Most Improved Actress:
Bernice Liu

Bernice better get this award or I'll literally boycott TVB! LOL....jk....but still Bernice deserves this award hands down. I remember watching an interview of her back in the Virtues of Harmony days and man she could not even blurt out a whole sentence of Cantonese! Look at her now....she's so fluent in Cantonese she no longer has that American accent in her voice. Her acting has also improved vastly and yes she is able to produce convincing tears during the emotional scenes. TVB will be veryyy wrong if they give this award to Fala or Kate Tsui! I'm gonna go nuts if Bernice doesn't get this award...she deserved it last year too!

There are other categories too but IMO they're the less important ones so I'm just gonna skip them for now...

Umm...moving on...another thing I wanna talk about it is Britney's new CD! It came out like yesterday and I got it right away. Despite everything going on in her life, she still was able to produce uptempo and fun songs that are definitely ear candy...my favorite song off that album is the lead single Gimme More. That song is already at the top of the charts and is the most successful song of Britney's since ...Baby One More Time! The MV is quite disturbing but the song is stuck in my head and makes me wanna shake that thang when I hear it on the radio LOL. I recommend it everyone...you won't regret it.

MTV Video Music Awards 2007

So....did any of you guys watch it on Sunday? Yeah this post is like 6 days from the actual day it aired but I just had to post something about it. Ok, I stayed up to 9 pm to watch it even though it was a school night and I was SOOOO disappointed! The whole show itself really sucked and I felt so sorry for Britney Spears because her opening performance was really humiliating and even Sarah Silverman dissed her right after the performance.

The thing is, Sarah said really harsh things about her...like how Britney's children were mistakes and a whole lot of crap. This is national tv. You don't talk about someone's kids like that no matter how bad Britney's parenting skills are. The kids are innocent and a lot of people, like me, were outraged by her comments. Ok, Britney starts off with a bad performance and no one was really into it, but then Sarah Silverman comes out and totally kills the atmosphere again by saying those bad things. No one was laughing at all and you could actually hear the silence.

Anyway, enuff about her. Well, the whole highlight of the show was Chris Brown. He really kicked butt and his Micheal Jackson impersonation was just wow wow wow. He totally stole the show...he was jumping on tables and moving his body like crazy. Although there were many performers that night , I thought they were just "singing" and not really putting heart into it like Chris did. The camera's just glanced in between each "party" in Las Vegas so you could see like only 30 seconds of each performer but it was extremely messy. No organization at all.

I have to say, the MTV awards as a whole was sorta a waste of time if you minus Chris Brown. I've seen most of the MTV Awards years before and all of them were a delight to watch. This year's was a disappointment and it was like MTV didn't even try to make an awards show. But, the ratings this year rose like 20 percent...mostly due to everyone's curiosity on Britney's performance.

I don't think MTV will re-air the show but they do have some of the performances on their website as well as on youtube. If you want to see Britney walking around like she's stoned in a bikini you can go there.

Oh ya, although the performance sucked the song "Gimme More" by Britney is really catchy. I have it in my iPod too.

Back to School...

Oh my goodness time flies by soo fast...I remember getting off school 2 months ago and now the time has arrived: SCHOOL'S HERE! Homework, stress, not being able to sleep in are more worst nightmares...and on Tuesday my school will officially open. Oh well, time to face the reality. Another 10 months of school...here I come.

Hi guys...well I've watched some parts of the Mr.HK 2007 and I quite enjoyed it. A lot of the guys were pretty hot but some were short imo. The guys weren't as muscular as the years before but their talents really lit up the show.

Anyways, the winner was lucky #7 Ben Yuen, the 26 year-old of the Mature Group. I knew he'd win from the start..a lot of ppl, including the HK reporters were favoring him. I also like #2 Micheal Chiu...he's got a sexy body...he was runner-up of the Youth Group while #11 Wu Chi Wai was runner up of the Mature Group.

Well, for those of you who don't know Criss Angel, he's a magician/illusionist who has his own show on the A&E Network. He does stunts and lots of crazy things on his show, so if you guys live in the US/Canada, (I don't know if they have it in Asia) tune in to his 3rd season Tuesdays at 7pm. Long Time No Update!

Hey guys sorry I've been extremely busy these days and and I've had so many projects and exams to do...and I've also been watching ANTM and a new season of So You Think You Can Dance and Canada's Next Top Model cycle 2, which aired just yesterday. I've been so bummed out lately because my least favorite girl on ANTM won!

Jeez she is so ugly and I was yelling at the t.v. and at Tyra! Hello this girl can't model and she looks like a guy. I could go on and on about how bad she is but I won't 'cause I'm a nice person :)....smirk smirk..

Oh and I just wanted to share a Disneyland poem..I did it in school...to everyone because I'll be going there again this summer! YAY!

America's Next Top Model

I've been watching ANTM for a long time and I know some of you folks are a fan of ANTM like me haha... Anyway, the 8th cycle premiered on February 28th with 13 contestants in the beginning striving to become America's Next Top Model. The show is mainly focused on modeling and high fashion and if you have what it takes to become a top model and represent America.

For you guys who do watch ANTM, I'll just review some of the contestants who have been eliminated so far, as well as the summaries of the episodes to come (spoilers):

The Girl Who Gets Thrown In The Pool

I'm rooting for Renee, Jaslene, and Jael because their photos always delivers. Ok, I know there are quite a few Renee-haters out there but I think the cameras are portaying her as a biatch like they did to Melrose for the ratings. Jael may be eliminated next but I just love her personality and she is such a fun-loving person. Jaslene takes great pictures and the cameras love her, but Tyra always says that her personailty isn't showing. Either way, I'm rooting for her, as well as for Renee and Jael!

If any of you guys don't watch ANTM, you just have to. When I started watching this, I got so addicted and the cat fights in the house are always fun to watch lol. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it.

Hey guys sorry I've been really lazy and busy because of Chinese New Year ooh and I have been receiving lotsa red packets...wooot! I've been watching so much reality tv lately as well as listening to a lot of English music...I really recommend Akon's Don't Matter and Nelly Furtado's Say It Right. I'm currently loving those songs right now....

Anyways, a lot of you might be confused by the title "SUCCESS Concert". Well, basically tomorrow I'm going to a concert in Vancouver that features some famous HK stars like Nikki, Justin Lo, Kary Ng, Stephy, Kenny, etc. and it's like a charity concert thing. But, I'm quite disapponted because the singer line-up is quite bad this year...in 04 stars like Joey Yung, Leo Ku, and Hacken came but this year there's a lot of newcomers. I even heard Yan Yee is coming to sing...eek! Oh well, bought the tickets already...my brother has to do volunteer work there so I have to go with my mom.

My Thoughts:

I guess this year's JSG Awards weren't that bad. Of course Joey would win the Best Female Award the 4th or 5th time in a row...I was hoping Leo Ku would win the Best Male Award due to all the awards 愛得太遲 won ( Gold Song Award and all those composer awards) but Eason won it instead. Kelly and Andy took the Asia awards for the Female and Male catagory, and with Kelly winning it 6 times in a row, I could tell she wasn't too surprised about winning it again.

As a fan of Joey, I am totally supporting her against Eric because Eric obviously was not happy being around her on stage. He was talking about her every time they were on stage together...not necessarily bad but he brought up the idea of rumors of him and Joey not getting instead of staying quiet. As everyone knows, he was trying to "break the silence" during the Tung Wah Charity Show by commenting on Yumiko's incident, but sometimes trying to create humor at the wrong time is a bad idea. Not much grudge against him, but I just feel a little sorry for Joey. The hug on stage was obviously sort of an "ok whatever I'll give you a hug" thing, but you have to be nice to each other when you're on stage.

Anyways, I felt that Miriam should've at least won one award because I enjoyed her "Unlimited" album and I could tell she put a lot of effort and work in it. I thought the duet with Edmund Leung was great and good enough to win the Best Duet Award, but she was robbed once again.

I'm starting to think that HK's music industry is seriously not as good as before and its getting worse and worse each year. My favorite year was 2004 because of all the great songs produced that year, but more singers are starting to depart from the HK music industry and it seems to be not as "golden" as b4. Softhard made a comeback but they didn't win any awards at the ceremony...Twins win it again...and I thought Leon Lai would've won something. Didn't he have some songs out this year? I thought Vivian Chow and Sandy Lam would start singing again but Vivian only opened concerts in HK and Sandy Lam has not released any new albums. Hopefully this year (2007 that is) there will more quality CantoPop songs. Joey should stop singing K songs and should focus on other genres... and hopefully Miriam will do more good songs in her new music company and Denise should continue her hard work because I think she has a great voice but she just isn't as popular as Joey.

2006 Top/Bottom 5 TVB Series

With 2006 almost coming to an end, let's review some of TVB's 2006 series...

Top 5 TVB Series:

1. La Femme Desperado - Fresh Storyline, high ratings, of course it's #1.
Sheren did great as usual and Raymond is just SOO hot everytime you see him on screen. LFD kept me entertained and I was hooked after watching the first episode. Highly recommended if you're a female because it deals with many problems women face today, but if you're a guy, watch it anyway because it's SO good.

2. Forensic Heroes - This is sort of a HK version of CSI, and although it didn't focus too much on love, I loved how the actors did their job. They acted so professional, especially Bobby. I can't wait for FH2...Bobby's the best!

3. War and Destiny - A story set in 1930's when the Japanese invaded Nanjing, China. Myolie and Sunny had an OK chemistry because I thought of them as more of a brother-sister relationship, rather than an actual love relationship. Ron and Leila had the best chemistry ever and I seriously became a fan of them after watching this.

4. Maiden's Vow - I loved Charmaine in here...she totally deserved the Best Female Award. She portrayed all four characters well, but I still have some problems with Joe's acting. His acting is still not natural enough and it seems as if there's something missing from his performance.

5. Bar Benders - A typical story about a lawyer who faces everyday problems about life: love, family, business. Adam did a great job in here, same goes to Sammul, Leila, and Louisa. The rest of the cast did an OK job.

Bottom 5 TVB Series : (not to offend anyone, only my opinion)

1. To Grow With Love - Mainly about how an overweight woman tries to look for true love and the stereotypes fat people have. I feel really bad for Myolie for gaining weight in this series, but the storyline was really bad. There was really no point in this series and some parts were just plain boring. Myolie tries to be funny but, sorry, I did't get it.

2. CIB Files - This series is supposed to talk about police solving crimes but the story was not suspenseful and did not talk a lot about investigation and stuff like that. I started watching a couple of the episodes but it was seriously way too boring. The cast didn't appeal to me and the storyline is so boring and confusing...most of the time the characters don't even solve the mysteries...they just hang out or talk about love and relationships.

3. Dance of Passion - A story set in the 30's or 40's somewhere in China where a group of people live in a village where being unfaithful can cause a curse. With a huge cast despite low ratings, all I can say is biggest disappointment of the year. TVB gave too much hype and expectations for this series but I thought it was too boring, too long, too sad ( OMG why do the women suffer so much in here) and too much yellow. My eyes really hurt after watching this series....so maybe better lighting would have helped.

4. Lethal Weapons Of Love And Passion - Another one of those boring series. Well, it's sort of a wuxia type of series that focuses on love and martial arts/kung fu. The storyline was ok but it was just not interesting enough to keep me entertained. Even the cast couldn't save it, although I love CharRay (so cute LOL).

5. Bitter Bitten - Talks about the main characters using different clues and overcoming obstacles in order to find the treasure. I thought this would be a good mystery/suspense series but the story didn't attract me and there was nothing special about it.

Wow, compared to last year and the year before, TVB didn't really come up with any fresh or exciting series besides LFD. Forensic Heroes was basically copied from CSI and the Myolie series was copied as well. I just hope 2007 will be a good year for TVB cuz the ratings are starting to slip and if TVB doesn't come up with any good series, probably the audience will turn to ATV (I hope not).

My Thoughts:
Are you kidding me? Kevin won the Best Actor award? Sheren didn't win anything? I totally expected her to win the Best Female Role Award while Charmaine gets the Best Female Award, but Charmaine snatched both of the them! LOL, I did want Charmaine to win, but maybe two awards is a lil too much. Anyway, I'm really proud of her because she really deserved the best actress award and I'd really commit suicide (lol just kiddin...hehe) if Myolie won. Myolie looked really pretty in her dress but I'm glad she didn't take the Best Actress Award from Charmaine. I wouldn't really mind if she won the Best Female role, that is if Sheren didn't win, cuz Charmaine already got the Best Actress Award,and Myolie gained weight for her role in To Grow with Love, but I have a feeling its ratings will be extremely low..

Well, for the Best Actor Award I was blowin' away when they announced the winner was Kevin. I wanted him to win the Most Improved Award cuz Kenneth still seems like a "keh leh fe" (those cameo roles) to me. Kevin definitely can't be compared to Bowie and Adam Cheng. I mean, seriously, he's really hot and stuff but he sucks in acting! He can't even express his feelings man! I was closing my eyes when I saw him in Yummy Yummy....he tried too hard to act when he can't and his looks are like blocking him from expressing himself lol! I thought that Bowie might win but, wellz, Kevin got it and there's nothing to do to change that fact....sigh..just comes to show how TVB gives out "popularity" awards rather than actual acting awards.

Another thing I wasn't too pleased about was how Shirley Yeung won the Best Female Supporting Role. Kiki Sheung or at least another "older" and more experienced person shoulda won it. Shirley won the Most Improved like 2 years ago or sumthin and now she gets another award? Wtf...I'm beginning to hate her more and more...

For the Best Male Supporting Award I was ok with Kenny Wong winning it cuz he was overly underrated by TVB a few years ago and it's nice to see him finally getting recognised..

My thoughts on the Most Improved Actor? Meh, don't wanna talk about it...Kenneth didn't deserve it....Kevin did...but Kevin won the Best Actor Award..so oh wellz.

I'm pretty ok about Linda receiving the Most Improved Actress Award, but like TVB doesn't have to promote her that much...at least Bernice should win before her cuz Bernice entered the industry b4 her although they were both from Pageant competitions....and I was rooting for Leila but she couldn't have won...TVB isn't that nice...

For the other awards...I ain't gonna comment cuz I'm quite satasfied wif the results...just a lil unhappy about the Best Actor Award...cuz KEVIN CAN'T ACT AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT!! HE'S JUST LIKE RON, THEY'VE GOT THE LOOKS BUT NOT THE ACTING...

Overall, I thought this year's anniversary was quite fast paced because at the start of the show Dodo Cheng quickly handed out the Most Improved Actress Award to Linda Chung...and I was surprised she was so calm when she spoke cuz the other winners were like crying and nervous...plus there were only two or three performances and the stage seemed smaller somehow. I thought there would be more performances than that and I thought every artist would participate in a performance like the last few years but I guess its different this year...and why is it only Dodo hosting the entire show? Hello?!! This is a grand ceremony, they should have like a lot of MC's like last year, but Dodo is the only one hosting it...why? What about this year's Miss Hong Kong or Nat Chan or Liza or Eric Tsang....did they vanish or sumthin? But, she handled it quite well, and it'd be more perfect if the show was outside as it would give the show more atmosphere...

Hmmm somehow the show seems a little weird and maybe a lil too short...not really like the actual, you know, actual show...wellz I guess TVB wanted sumthin different this year so yea...

TVB Anniversary Coming Up!!

I'm so excited that the TVB Anniversary is here once again and this year there is a lot of talk between Myolie and Charmaine winning the Best Female Award. Personally, I'd love to see Charmaine win because Myolie doesn't have enough experience and her acting skills still can't be compared to Charmaine. OK, she did a lot of sacrifice for the new show, like gaining weight, but the female award isn't about popularity and sacrifice....its about true acting skills. TVB has been really unfair in the last few years about awards and they just might give the award to Myolie, but I think Charmaine did more for TVB and I have a feeling that if she doesn't win the award, she'll follow into Kenix's steps and enter the Mainland China industry. Myolie has potential but Charmaine deserves it more, and this is just my opinion so no offense to Myolie fans.

On talking about the Best Male Award, Steven Ma or Sunny Chan should win. TVB probably will give the award to Joe Ma for his performance in Maiden's Vow, but Steven Ma has way better acting skills and if Steven Ma doesn't win it should be Sunny Chan. It would've been better if TVB broadcasted War and Destiny in HK cause I loved that show to death and I was an immediate fan of Sunny Chan after I watched it. I didn't really like Love Guaranteed and so it would have been better if he was nominated for playing the role in War and Destiny. Steven Ma did great in Safe Guards and Land of Wealth, but it didn't receive great ratings, so yea....

Joe Ma seems really plain to me and well, he can act, but he's just not good enough. I've seen him with so many female co-stars, like Charmaine, Kenix, Jessica, but I've also seen him in "keh le feh" roles, so he doesn't really seem appealing to me.

Well let's just hope the TVB Anniversary will go alright and there won't be major disappointments....like last year when Liza Wang won. Ughh, she won the Best Female Award like a few years ago and it totally should have been Kenix who won. She totally deserved it. So, this year better not go bad again or I'll never watch anymore TVB series in my life!!... lol just kidding

Twins Gillian Chung Victimized by Spying Paparazzis

HONG KONG (AP) Aug 24, 2006 - The cover of a Hong Kong magazine that shows a photo of a local pop star adjusting her bra while changing backstage has stirred an outcry, with critics denouncing the display as despicable.

The current issue of Easy Finder magazine, shows Gillian Chung of the Hong Kong female pop duo Twins fixing her bra backstage at a concert at the Malaysian entertainment resort of Genting last week. Her breast is not revealed. The second, smaller cover photo shows Chung naked shoulder up. The headline reads, "Ah Kiu releases bra near back window," using Chung's Chinese nickname.

The voyeuristic photo has drawn protests from the government, editorialists, journalists and members of the public who filed hundreds of complaints against the cover to government regulators. Easy Finder didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.

The exact situation remains unclear, what’s confirmed is that a hidden pinhole camera was planted in the changing room for TWINS concert in Genting Highland, and pictures were taken of Gillian naked without her knowing it.

The Hong Kong Journalists Association said in a statement the photos violated professional ethics and "seriously" violated personal privacy. "The association believes reporters should respect personal reputation and privacy. They should avoid violating privacy when reporting on a subject's private life without his or her consent," the statement said.

The respected Ming Pao Daily News said in an editorial Thursday the cover "can only be described as dirty and obscene." "These magazines, for the sake of galvanizing readers and spike circulation, have stooped to a level where they use illegitimate means, and anything goes," it wrote.
